How this work actually goes
Office temps on Oʻahu cover the unglamorous gaps: a receptionist on leave, a clerk during audit season, a front desk that cannot go dark, a pile of files that has to move before a deadline. Downtown, Kakaʻako, Bishop Street, the civic center, medical offices, small firms in Kaimukī and Kāneʻohe. The work is the same shape everywhere — phone, people walking in, software someone shows you on day one.
If you type, can sit for a full day, and can be kind on a phone, say that. Name Word, Excel, Google, a PMS, or a medical scheduler if you have them. If you only have school or retail customer service, that still maps to a front desk. Employers should say the hours (7:30–4:30 is not “business hours”), parking or bus, dress, and whether the person will sit alone at reception.
Short assignments run a day to two weeks. Leaves run a month or a quarter. Project help can be data cleanup with almost no public contact. Write which of those you want, or which of those you are hiring for.
